A shout out to a friend (Dan Conant) who is founding a non-profit called The Light Switch.
From its site:
The Light Switch is a grassroots energy efficiency organization in Jefferson County, West Virginia. We are committed to increasing energy efficiency, lowering greenhouse gas emissions, and reducing electricity bills by informing homeowners about the savings they can find with simple fixes around the house.
What I like about this effort is its simplicity. Each large movement has to start somewhere, and in the case of climate change, it starts with personal appeals and some small help and advice. Good luck to The Light Switch as it gets some feet under it and begins to change West Virginia and the country for the better. Kudos to Dan for having the passion and dedication to start an organization which so clearly benefits the common good.

I have been helping some Non profit organizations wiht getting some trucks to help them with their cause some organizations use trucks to deliver food, clothing or bedding to the homeless. I found that Uhaul sells out their used trucks. This has helped a few people in obtaining trucks to help their cause. If you are interested or try sharing to get the word out. It really does help and makes a difference.
Thanks!
